Map Locations and Route Order

Quick Answer

After entering the castle, work toward Smash in the Clock Tower, Aerial Rush in the Library, then the Notre-Dame route. A revealed boss marker may be premature.

If you are lost after entering Dracula's Castle, work toward Smash in the Clock Tower, then Aerial Rush in the Library, then the route into Notre-Dame. An Arcana marker on the map is not necessarily the next required destination: a card can reveal its boss marker before Rose is ready to finish that route.

This is a region and ability-route guide, not a complete interactive map or a claim that every hidden room has been catalogued. The opening Paris Streets, cemetery, and Catacombs are more directed than the branching castle that follows.

Locate your place in the route

Your current regionWhat advances the routeWhat to postpone
Paris Streets and Holy Innocents' CemeteryExplore the early guardian routes and collect their keysAbility-gated branches you cannot yet cross
Catacombs of ParisContinue through the early Death story encounterAssuming every side route must be finished on this visit
Castle Main HallExplore while locating the route into the Clock TowerTreating every visible branch as immediately solvable
Clock TowerFind The Builder and obtain SmashFollowing a revealed late boss marker as your only objective
LibrarySolve the globe route and obtain Aerial Rush and the paintbrushAssuming its puzzle needs an unrelated missing ability
Notre-DameFollow the painting route and continue toward Double JumpCompleting every distant backtracking target first

Use the table to select one current objective. A room that remains inaccessible is more useful as a return marker than as a reason to repeat the same jump indefinitely.

Start with the city and the guardian keys

Paris Streets, Holy Innocents' Cemetery, and the Catacombs form the early city section. Rose's tarot cards provide clues as the guardians are encountered. Their keys lead toward the Catacombs gate.

The opening area contains navigation features as well as pickups. A map marker might represent a drop, anchor, wall jump, transition, or locked door. Do not count every visible marker as a collectible that must appear in Rose's inventory.

The map fills as you explore and supports your own markers. Mark a visible barrier with the reason it stopped you. That makes a later return more directed than simply revisiting every unfinished-looking corridor.

Find Smash before repeating cracked-floor searches

Smash ability description

The Builder route is in the Clock Tower. The Eastern Access Shaft includes a puzzle involving large fist blocks; completing that route leads toward the boss whose reward is Smash.

Once Smash is available, floors marked with yellow or golden cracks become useful backtracking targets. Earlier city areas contain routes of that type, so a return can now do something your first visit could not.

Do not confuse obtaining this ability with clearing the entire Clock Tower. A marker higher in the tower can point toward later progression. Revealing a boss through a card's clues does not prove the boss is currently the best next stop.

Use the Library for the next traversal step

Aerial Rush ability description

The Library can be reached from the castle's branching routes, including the Main Hall. Inside, the globes and their surrounding objects form a puzzle. Pay attention to the clue found in the study rather than assuming the room is blocked by an uncollected movement upgrade.

Defeating the Library boss provides Aerial Rush, the mid-air dash. The route also gives you the paintbrush needed for the painting progression. These two results solve different obstacles: the dash helps with traversal, while the key item is part of accessing the next major area.

Open the painting route into Notre-Dame

The Main Hall's Artist progression involves a statue with golden cracks and a painting of Notre-Dame. Smash is needed for the blocked route, while the paintbrush and Artist Arcana let Rose enter the painting.

If you found the painting before visiting the Library, return after obtaining the necessary item instead of searching for a second entrance with no basis. A visible area entrance can be discovered well before all of its conditions are satisfied.

Double Jump ability description

Notre-Dame contains the route toward Double Jump. Its musical clues and organ progression are separate from simply reaching the cathedral, so arrival in the area is not the end of that objective.

Make backtracking serve a specific barrier

After each new ability, choose the unfinished route it actually answers:

  • Use Smash for the appropriately cracked floors.
  • Use Aerial Rush for routes requiring a mid-air dash.
  • Use Double Jump for the higher platforms it makes reachable.
  • Return with the paintbrush when working on the Notre-Dame painting entrance.

Do not assume these examples identify every secret in the game. There are additional optional Arcana routes and hidden rooms, and this page does not provide a verified exhaustive set of coordinates for them. The practical result is a clear next region and a reason to revisit a marked barrier, rather than an unsupported promise of full completion.
